Lisa Stone

I have so many wonderful memories of Gill - it really was the best of times. I found huge comfort from all the messages we had sent each other over what’s app and I fell in love with her as a friend all over again . She was always so kind and lovely and every time she saw me she said I looked nice. In true Gilly fashion she selflessly came to work at our house on my birthday this year so Lawrence and I could go to the theatre and she could be there for the kids after school. All she wanted as a thank you was a tin of soup.

Gill and I met through Lisa Levin who was at Leeds with Gill. We had a wonderful trip to Boston on Work America and travelled across the country on Delta airways after graduation in 1989. The photos attached are from that trip and Gill and I had a truly magical trip to New Orleans for the day flying from Florida.

Gilly was my theatre buddy and we saw some fantastic productions like Come from Away together and also a hilarious totally mad version of Pride and Prejudice earlier this year which thinking about how much we laughed through it will always stay with me.

It was a privilege to have Gill in Lawrence and my lives and her generous spirit, bravery and kindness will stay with us always and her memory will be strong in our family as Eva and Alex know what an important person she was to us.
